Commission Information
The Shenandoah Valley Regional Airport Commission was created in 1956 by a group of local business and community leaders from five localities in our primary service area: Harrisonburg, Staunton, Waynesboro, and the counties of Rockingham and Augusta. Each of the five jurisdictions has one representative appointed to this governing body by their respective Board of Supervisors or City Council. The day-to-day management of SHD is overseen by its Executive Director, Lisa Botkin.

Monthly meetings of the Airport Commission are held on the third Wednesday of each month. If rescheduling is necessary due to conflicts, any changes to this schedule will be communicated on this website at least three (3) days prior to the meeting date. In the case of inclement weather, meetings may need to be rescheduled on short notice.
All meetings will be held at 8:00 am in the Jack Manch Conference Room of the General Aviation Terminal, unless otherwise specified.
