Big things are taking off at SHD!

Beginning February 3, 2026, American Eagle, operated by SkyWest Airlines, will offer daily jet service to Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) and Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) — your nonstop gateways to the world.

Flights will be operated on dual-class regional jets seating 65 to 76 passengers, and including a first-class cabin, for an elevated travel experience. Even better, SkyWest will have a local team right here at SHD to provide the same friendly, convenient service our travelers have come to expect.

Through a full codeshare with American Airlines, your trip is completely seamless — from check-in and baggage transfers to earning AAdvantage® miles and enjoying access to American’s vast global network. Flight times are designed for easy, convenient connections, whether you’re traveling for business, school, or a well-deserved getaway.

With just one stop, passengers have access to hundreds of domestic and international destinations while enjoying a hassle-free travel experience. You can literally get anywhere in the world with just one flight out of SHD.

Through February 1, 2026, Contour Airlines will continue daily service to Charlotte, ensuring uninterrupted access to this major hub until SkyWest’s new American Eagle service begins.
