What airlines serve the Shenandoah Valley Airport?
Contour Airlines, under a ticket-and-baggage agreement with American Airlines, will operate daily flights from Shenandoah Valley Airport (SHD) to Charlotte Douglas International Airport through February 1, 2026.
Beginning February 3, 2026, American Eagle, operated by SkyWest Airlines, will provide air service to both Charlotte (CLT) and Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) with a full codeshare agreement. Customers traveling from SHD will benefit from a streamlined travel experience, including seamless check-in and baggage transfers, as well as access to American’s extensive global network. They will also have the opportunity to accrue frequent flier miles through the AAdvantage® program. Flight times are designed to provide maximum connection opportunities for both business and leisure travelers.

How much does it cost to park at SHD?
Parking at Shenandoah Valley Airport is absolutely free for all patrons of the airport! Whether your car is parked here for one night or two months, it’s always complimentary. If your travels will be longer than 30 days, please fill out the Extended Vehicle Parking form to notify our Public Safety Department:

How far in advance do I need to arrive before my flight?
We recommend that you arrive at Shenandoah Valley Airport at least 60 to 90 minutes before your scheduled boarding time.
Please note: American Airlines and TSA require all baggage to be checked at least 45 minutes before departure.
On your return trip to SHD, you will need to arrive at least 2 hours before your scheduled boarding time to account for longer screening times.
