PUBLIC NOTICE
Of Intent to Submit an Application to the FAA to Impose and Use PFC Revenue

The Shenandoah Valley Regional Airport Commission is proposing a new PFC application to impose and use a Passenger Facility Charge (PFC) at the rate of $4.50 for each enplaned passenger. The total amount to be collected is $355,010. The charge effective date for this application is June 1, 2020 and the expiration date is February 28, 2025.

The Airport Commission is requesting to exempt non-scheduled air carriers filing FAA Form 1800-31 as this class of carriers represents less than one percent of the total enplaned passengers at the Shenandoah Valley Regional Airport (SHD).

This PFC application will be used to assist with funding a total of three projects. The list of projects is as follows:

  1. Purchase Aircraft Deice Truck
  2. Install Secure Area Partition-Design and Construction
  3. Acquire new Public Safety Vehicle
